At Granite Woods we believe that many of today’s nonprofit organizations are capable of reaching their fundraising goals despite the changes brought about by the pandemic.
Although in-person events may be non-existent right now, or severely limited at best, having the right charity envelopes will be a huge help in securing your nonprofit the funds they need. If you want to get the most from your efforts, you'll need a few tips first.
What are Donation Envelopes?
The first step in learning how to choose donation envelopes, is learning about their purpose. You can use custom donation envelopes for collecting payments from donors -- by check or credit card. They are ideal for political campaigns, nonprofit agencies, or churches. A donation envelope template can help you create a personalized envelope for your cause. But it's even easier with our DIY envelopes.
These envelopes offer a convenient way of collecting gifts from donors, because they allow them to enter their information directly on the envelope. Different from a typical envelope, they feature a large flap that can be used to print a form. When the form is complete, the flap closes and seals to help cover personal information. Some individuals prefer to use this method because they view it as more secure than an online donation.
Why send donation request envelopes?
Part of knowing how to choose donation envelopes is also knowing why they are used. A company may choose to send out donation envelopes because it’s a more personal way for an organization to ask people to give. You can include a donation letter with information about the great things your agency is doing.
You can use the letter to remind a donor of a previous gift, or share information about current fundraising efforts. It can also provide a direct link to your agency / mission. Emails and text messages requesting donations may grab attention at the moment, but can quickly be forgotten later. Using a printed envelope provides a tangible reminder.
Donation envelope template or DIY
At Granite Woods we offer a variety of donation and fundraising envelopes to choose from. The most popular option are the #6 3/4 Remittance Envelopes. You can use these for the return of personal check donations and credit card payments. These envelopes feature an extra large flap that allows for printing on the front and back.
The Custom #9 Remittance Envelopes are very similar, but in addition to personal checks and credit cards, they also fit business checks. The larger size flap also provides additional room for printing information. Both the # 6 ¾ and #9 donation envelopes will fit neatly inside a standard #10 envelope.
For added security, or special use, choose custom tear-off flap remittance envelopes. These envelopes have a removable flap. It can be printed, then torn off and inserted before mailing.
These envelopes will require a completed design to upload before ordering. If you still need a donation envelope template, please contact our team and we'll be happy to help. Please contact our team for more information.
